Trusting someone new to look after your beloved animals can be daunting, so here’s a step-by-step guide to the booking process to help guide you.
Step 1: Initial Contact and Enquiry
Contact us via Website/Phone/Email: Via the website is probably the easiest first port of contact, as I might be out on a job at the time. Each animal that is in my care is my primary concern, and I will reply to you as soon as they are safe, and I am able to give you the same level of time/support and one to one communication.
Provide as much information as possible: Tell me more about your dog (breed, age, temperament, special needs), your location, and your potential desired walking schedule.
Feel free to ask lots of questions: Such as our dog walking services, multiple dogs from the same household, policies, and experience.
Step 2: Meet and Greet Consultation
Schedule a meeting: I will contact you to schedule a meet-and-greet or consultation at a time to suit us both.
Introduce the dog(s): This is the point when you get to introduce your dog or dogs to me in the safety and comfort of their own home environment and we will see how we get along.
Discuss specific needs: We can discuss your dog’s specific needs, routines and any behavioural issues and you can make me aware of any issues I might face whilst we are out and about.
Review policies and procedures: I will explain our policies, procedures and safety measures in detail so that you are clear about what will happen.
Key exchange / access instructions: We will discuss key exchange or access instructions, your preferred schedule, etc.
Contract / agreement: I will provide you with a copy of our contract/agreement which you can review and sign, you’ll have a copy for your records.
Your first booking: I will set you up to use the booking system which allows you to have full control of your booked sessions and adjust these as you need to.
Step 3: Booking and Scheduling
Confirm booking: You can use the booking system to find your desired walking schedule on the dates and times available. You will only be able to view and book available slots, all others will be blocked so there’s no danger of a double booking.
Payment arrangement: The booking system will allow you to make payment in advance of our booked session/s. Please note that no bookings are considered confirmed until payment has been made.
Provide detailed Instructions: Using the booking system you can provide detailed instructions about your dog’s normal routine, general energy levels, any special needs and emergency contact information.
Provide home access information: You will be able to provide Key location, alarm codes, or other necessary information.
Step 4: Ongoing Communication and Updates
Walk Updates: I can provide updates or photos after each walk if you would like it, or just some general feedback in our catchup at the end of the week.
Feedback and Communication: You can provide me with your feedback and communicate any concerns or changes with your dog’s needs.
Regular Scheduling: By using the booking system, you can maintain a regular walking schedule and guarantee your desired slots weeks in advance.
Payment: The booking system will allow you to pay for all your dogs’ walking sessions in advance and allow you to have complete control of rescheduling and cancellations.
Please note that any cancellations MUST be given at least 24hrs in advance or you will be charged anyway for a no-show.
